Provenance
Kitley House sale, London, Christie's South Kensington, 19–20 October 1987, lot 234, for £9,000.
Condition
The canvas has been relined and the paint surface is slightly pressed as a result. Restoration consists of infilling of craquelure throughout, small areas of restrengthening, and repairs to a T-shaped tear in the canvas in the right measuring approximately 12 x12 cm.
