Provenance

Anonymous sale, London, Sotheby’s, 8 July 1987, lot 248, where acquired by the present owners.

Condition

The panel is uncradled and stable. The paint surface is well-preserved, there are no areas of lost paint. There are small retouchings: to the hair of the man on the left, to the hat of the man centre, and to the hair of the man on the right, to the central pillar in the background, to the hind leg of the dog and to the tablecloth.
