Condition
The canvas has been relined and is stable. The paint surface is secure, with no flaking. There is some faint craquelure across the canvas.
Inspection under UV light reveals some old restrengthening of darker details and small areas of old infilling of craquelure. An old varnish covers the picture, which has a milky appearance under Ultraviolet light.
This lot is sold in a simple wood frame painted gold with a red middle band, now quite faded. The frame is in good condition.
