Condition
The panel has a curved split down the middle and has been glued back together. The split has been re-painted but is visible to the naked eye. The panel has warped slightly and is now slightly concave.
There is a very small chip on the lower left edge 6 cm. from the bottom and 1 cm. long.
Re-touching has been carried out extensively on three areas. The lower right, lower left and upper right. The blood at the top of the forehead and running down the temple has also been re-painted. A small part of the bottom of the beard and a portion of the lower neck have had some slight touching up.
There is a considerable crack on the verso at the lower left. It has been patched with some gauze and plaster of paris.
