- Venice, the Bucintoro returning to the Molo on Ascension Day

Condition
The canvas has an old relining. The paint surface is stable, and the varnish clear and even. There is a small paint loss on the blue and white striped awning of the gondola in the centre of the picture. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals a campaign of restoration concentrated mainly in the areas of sky and in the water, foreground lower left. Minor details of the roof of the Doge's Palace (obelisks and turrets) have been strengthened. In fair condition. Offered in gilt wood frame in fair condition.
