Description

  • Venus, Mars and Cupid
  • oil on canvas

Condition

The canvas has an old lining which is now a little loose. The paint surface is very well preserved throughout. There are a few strengthenings around Venus's right arm and in the drapery around Mars but , in general, very little interference to speak of. Overall the painting is in lovely condition but would benefit from cleaning and restretching.
