Condition

The panel support is uncradled with a slight convex bow. A horizontal split running 10cm from the upper edge across the panel is supported by an inset baton of wood on the reverse. The paint surface has recently been surface cleaned and is in overall good condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light shows retouching along the old split and to two losses 2x2cm in the lower right hand corner and the centre of the top edge. Apart from this there is little of no other intervention and the remaining paint surface appears to be beautifully-preserved. The shadows in the pond on the left have developed a noticeable craquelure pattern.
