Anonymous sale, London, Sotheby's, 8 May 1974, lot 113, for £3,000 to Trebor.

Condition

The panel is uncradled, flat and stable, with old woodworm marks on the reverse. The paint surface is in superb condition, details are well- preserved, and the varnish is recent and even. There are very minor spot retouchings scattered throughout, and a fine split extending down 9cm from the upper right edge. This lot is offered in a plain wooden frame, in good condition.
