Catalogue Note

The picturesque buildings and waterfalls of Tivoli were hugely popular with several generations of visiting Dutch artists.  This appealing work must date from the second half of the 17th century; in some respects it is similar to the very rare drawings of Adriaen Honich (Dordrecht 1643 - after 1674).1
