Condition

Window mounted. Overall in fairly good condition. The white heightening has slightly oxidised. Sheet relatively free from staining. Sold framed.

This is a preparatory drawing for the putto in the upper left section of The Martyrdom of St. Lawrence, now in the collection of the Duke of Buccleuch (fig.1).The painting was executed around 1652 for the church of St. Germain L'Auxerrois, Paris.
