- Eight watercolours of birds
- All watercolour and bodycolour over pencil on laid paper;
two signed Charles Colins, dated between 1737 and 1739 - The largest: 504 by 374 mm
including a greylag goose, a grey plover, a white-bellied diver, a curlew, a pair of partridges and swifts and other more obscure species
Condition
These large scale works have generally been well preserved. Their colours are largely bright and fresh and although the sheets has occasional areas of minor surface dirt and very occasional foxmarks, overall their condition is good.
