Damier Courier: wood trunk with Damier pattern, leather trim, wood straps, metal fittings and brass lock, the interior retaining its removable tray, likely newly fitted, with special order initials, A.S.P, on the side of the trunk, a paper label to the interior and stamped number 196052, early 20th century.
Rayée Courier: wood trunk in striped Rayée pattern, leather trim, metal and brass hardware, with a paper label to the interior numbered 17412, with various hotel stickers on top of the trunk, late 19th century.

Condition

Damier: general wear and some visible tears throughout the surface, oxidation and dents throughout the brass fixtures, soiling of the leather, all due to old age. Rayée: tear and wear throughout the surface, oxidation and dents to the metal fixtures, discoloration and foxing of the paper stickers, all due to old age.
