Condition

Good condition for an object of this type and age. A section at the back of the integrally-carved base is broken in four pieces, one extending into the proper right heel, and glued back together with all original pieces. Minor stable hairline age cracks to the front of the body. Narrow age crack to proper right side of head. An insect hole in the top proper left front of cap. Round area of chipped surface encrustation to top front right of cap. Point surmounting coiffure is restored. Area of insect damage to front of abdomen below proper right breast. Surface coated. Marks, nicks, scratches, and abrasions consistent with age and handling. Fine dark glossy reddish brown patina with encrustation in recesses. Square metal sleeve embedded underneath proper left foot for attachment to base (no base present). A round 'Pace Primitive' label underneath with "54 - 3107".
