Condition

Good condition for an object of this type and age. Old losses to proper right front corner of integrally carved base and to front of cap, as seen in catalogue photograph. Age cracks, including one from top of cap extending around the proper left side of the head through the ear; down the front of the torso; and to proper left thigh. Marks, nicks, scratches, wear, abrasions, and small chips consistent with age and use. Fine medium brown patina with encrustation. Surface varnished. Abrasions and remains of charge material on front of abdomen. Fixed permanently to modern base with a single pin.
