Condition
Good condition for an object of this type and age. Areas of erosion (insect damage) to underside of foot and inside bowl. Minor marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions, small chips and cracks consistent with age and use. Old chips to edge of bowl. Age crack to one side of integrally-carved plinth. Some surface fill where the hat of one caryatid meets the bowl. Exceptionally fine layered aged dark brown patina. A metal sleeve embedded in the underside for attachment to modern base.
