Condition

Good condition for an object of this type and age. Marks, nicks, scratches, and abrasions consistent with age and use. Age cracks, including to proper right side of the head and neck. A wedge-shaped segment of the integral helmet element is broken with a native repair of piercings and fiber bindings along the breaks, with a small segment missing behind the proper left foot. Fine aged surface with remains of red, black, and white pigment. Some flaking and losses to pigment. Fiber bindings are dry and fragile with fraying and small losses. The underside embedded with a square metal sleeve for attachment to modern base.
