Condition

Good condition for an object of this type and age. Square-shaped opening at the back of the neck. Front of proper right foot is broken and glued. Marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions, small chips and cracks consistent with age and use. Exceptionally fine glossy dark brown patina. Underside of proper left foot is painted in white with "HC 196" (struck out) on the underside, and on the back of the heel "HC 479". Remains of an old collection label on underside of proper right foot. Balls of wax are affixed to underside of proper right foot to level the cup.
