Catalogue Note
Giacomo Bosio (1544-1627) was secretary to the "Knights of Malta" and published the Order's statutes and privileges in 1589. The first two parts of his monumental chronicle cover the period up to 1523, and the third part the years between 1523 and 1571 including the battle of Lepanto. The present revised and expanded edition of 1629 was published without volume 3.
