Catalogue Note

FIRST EDITION OF THE FIRST CHEMICAL BIBLIOGRAPHY, which is essentially a catalogue of Borel's own extensive collection of books on chemical subjects. Borel (c. 1620-1671) was physician to the king of France as well as an antiquarian.
