Chancery folio (309 x 210mm.), 49 leaves (of 50, without final blank), 1-510, c. 40 lines, gothic type, 4- and 8-line woodcut initials, some with red outlining, red paraphs and initial-strokes, modern boards covered with a leaf from an incunable (a canon law text), deckle edges, stub of leather index tab attached to first leaf of text, upper corner of first leaf excised and lower corner repaired, upper joint slightly torn

Catalogue Note

A large and crisp copy retaining many deckle edges and with contemporary manuscript quiring. The author is now considered to be Conrad Holzinger of Saxony, a Franciscan and a contemporary of St Bonaventure.
