written by a single copyist in dark brown ink on sixteen staves per page, with titles to each volume, a few cues and markings in red crayon,

167, 175 and 151 pages, oblong 4to (c.23 x 31cm), including titles, 16-stave paper, most numbers paginated separately in pencil, "Dresden" watermark, German provenance, first half of the nineteenth century, green cloth boards, green-gilt title labels to covers, a few stains, paginations cropped; together with a copy of the engraved first edition of the full score, 262 pages, folio, plate S.3512, Berlin, Schlesinger [1849],  4 volumes in all
