Catalogue Note

A RARE AND ATTRACTIVE EDITION.   Three of these Italianate motets contain prominent solos for the violin, of which G.A. Guido was himself a celebrated player.   The collection contains 1) 'Me miserum' for solo voice and continuo, 2) 'Descendite de Coelo' with violin accompaniment ("sinfonia"), 3) the duet 'Languet cor meum', 4) the solo motet 'Bonus est Dominus', 5) the accompanied duet 'Quæ nova fulget gloria' and 6) the solo motet with violin 'Audite, filiæ Sion'.
