Catalogue Note

FIRST EDITION, published when Morgagni was 79 years old, this treatise is the culmination of the hundreds of dissections carried out by him during his long career and it "constitutes a foundation of modern pathological anatomy. Vast in scope, it is one of the most fundamentally important works in the history of medicine" (Eimas, p. 274).
