Catalogue Note
Vergerio's works of 1563 include a section "Postremus catalogus haereticorum Romae conflatus. 1559", which is a comment on the early editions of the Index of Prohibited Books (see lot 55). It includes a list of prohibited editions of the Bible (including all vernacular editions) and a list of printers whose works should be avoided, including the printer of this work, Ulrich Morhard.
