Catalogue Note

Marko Marulic (1450-1524), bishop of Split, was a prominent Croatian humanist and churchman. This treatise of his on Christian living was first published in Venice in 1506. He was also the author of the first "popular" book to be printed in Croatian, a poem on Judith and Holofernes.
