4to (202 x 134mm.), 437 leaves (of 440), a-i8 k-l6 m-z A-E8 F6 G-I8 K-L10 M-S8 T10 V-Z aa-ii8, double column, 51 lines plus headline, gothic type, woodcut on title-page of a teacher with two students, 2- to 5-line initials in red and blue, red paraphs and initial-strokes, early annotations (some in red ink, some cropped), some pencil notes by Mendham, later sixteenth-century German blind roll-tooled pigskin, new cloth ties, lacking 3 leaves (c1_8 and hh8), small section neatly excised from M1 (not affecting text), some staining at foot (occasionally severe), rebacked retaining original spine
