Eymerich's infamous manual for inquisitors, dating from the fourteenth century, details specific heretics and their beliefs, banned books, witchcraft, the errors of other faiths, as well as the technical legal processes of denunciations and trials, torture, and forms of excommunication. The second part of the book contains papal letters regarding the office of the Inquisition. There is a pencil mark next to Pius IV's brief regarding the revoking of licences given to prohibited books.
