by Remusat: Seven drawings of Boulez and Berio, one signed by Boulez, made during the Festival de Royan, October 1968, the signed portrait of Boulez framed and glazed, overall size (49 x 37cms), black ink on paper, some light creasing; together with drawings by him depicting Hindemith, Khachaturian, Milhaud, Xenakis, Charles Munch, Jean Wiener and Clément Doucet, in black pencil or ink on paper, various sizes, the drawings of Hindemith and Khachaturian framed, some creasing and tearing
From the collection of André Meyer (1884-1974). The dynamic portraits by Benedikt Fred Dolbin, a prominent journalist and press caricaturist of the Weimar Republic, are particularly interesting. In 1935 Dolbin emigrated to the United States to avoid persecution for his Jewish ancestry under the Nazi regime. Sold as a collection not subject to return.
