Condition
The panel is made up of two parts joined together along a vertical axis to the left of the composition. There are two small splits in the upper edge of the panel and a small loss in the lower left corner. There are several nail holes along the sides of the work; these appear to be consistent with the artist's working material.
There appears to be a line of paint cracking where the two elements of the panel have been joined and some small flecks of paint loss in the red and blue pigments, most notably in the lower left corner of the panel. There is a minor horizontal scuff at the top of the composition and some light surface dirt only noticeable on close inspection. Subject to the above the work appears to be in good condition.
Ultraviolet light shows some small spots of fluorescence in areas of paint loss.
