Condition

Unexamined out of frame. The sheet does not appear fully laid down, but is at least partially adhered to a backing support. The sheet appears to be a leaf taken from a sketch pad, with an unevenly cut and lightly handled left hand edge. Elsewhere there are minor handling marks to the sheet, with traces of light surface matter and studio detritus visible upon close inspection, including some spots of minor staining to the centre of the upper edge. There is a diagonal crease beginning near the centre of the lower edge, and running towards the centre of the composition. This excepting the work appears in very good overall condition, with strong, fresh passages of pencil throughout. Housed behind glass in a thin light wooden frame, float-mounted against a white card backing. Unexamined out of frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any queries regarding the present work.
