Provenance

Jack Hanley Gallery, San Francisco, where acquired by the present owner

Condition

There is an original backboard which prevents examination of the reverse of the canvas, but it appears to be original. There is minor surface dirt and dust to the work, with some very minor handling marks and spots of very slight staining apparent to the extreme edges of the white wooden painted frame, but these excepting the work appears in excellent overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals traces of fluorescence and probable retouching to the top left hand edge of the work, with further traces visible to the left centre of the composition. These have all been very sensitively executed. Housed in the artist's white wooden frame. Please contact the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present lot.
