Condition
Original canvas.
There are some very old, very minor frame abrasions surrounding the extreme edges, including some minor traces of very light surface dirt and some loss in the lower left corner. There is a fine line of craquelure in line with the stretcher down the bottom of the right hand edge in the white, with a further horizontal line to the pale blue in the upper left hand quadrant, with further, smaller traces of craqelure to a thicker globule of red impasto in this area, visible upon close inspection. These excepting the work appears in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals area of fluorescence which appear in keeping with the nature of the materials and do not suggest retouching.
Housed in a thin, gilt wooden strip frame.
