Condition
Original canvas.
There are some very tiny, minor old possible frame abrasions to the extreme edges, and a spot of loss to an air bubble within a thicker globule of impasto in the top right hand corner. There are further traces of very minor, light surface dirt and studio detritus, only visible upon close inspection, but this excepting the work appears in excellent overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals traces of minor fluorescence and probable retouchings to a couple of the aforementioned minor frame abrasions, all of which have been executed very sensitively, as well as further traces of fluorescence which appear in keeping with the nature of the Artist's materials, and do not suggest retouchings.
Housed in a thick ebonised-effect wooden frame.
