Condition

The work is formed of two separately framed canvases. The Right: Original canvas. There is surface dirt and traces of light surface matter. There is a faint stretcher bar mark to the extreme left hand edge. There is craquelure throughout the work, including some early signs of lifting to the far right and lower right quadrants. The Left: Original canvas. There is surface dirt and traces of light surface matter. There is craquelure throughout the work, including some early signs of lifting to the centre of the left edge and to the lower right quadrant. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. Both housed in matching wooden frames.
