Condition
There are some minor horizontal surface cracks appearing in line with the grain of the panel, the most noticeable of which runs across the bottom edge, through the feet and a further, noticeable line running through the upper right hand edge, with further, smaller cracks appearing elsewhere.
There is very minor surface dirt, and a couple of tiny specks of surface matter in the upper left quadrant, with further signs of minor frame abrasions and spots of flattening to some of the thicker raised globules of impasto. This excepting the work appears in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence and probable retouching to the black pigment, including, but not limited to the top and bottom corners and to the aforementioned frame abrasions.
Housed in a thick dark wooden frame.
