Hazlitt Holland-Hibbert, London, where acquired by the present owner

Condition

Original canvas. There is a very tiny, minor line of very fine craquelure to the top extreme right hand edge where the canvas folds over the stretcher, with further minor handling marks and very minor surface dirt to the white pigment, most apparent to the corners. There are very minor, old frame abrasions to the upper right corners. There are further minor traces of studio detritus, but this excepting the work appears in very good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals an area of fluorescence down the left hand edge, which may be in keeping with the artist's original technique. Housed behind glass in a thin dark wooden frame, float-mounted against a white backing. Unexamined out of frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
