Condition

The sheet appears partially adhered to a backing support, but not fully laid down. There is very slight cockling to the sheet and deckled edges throughout, in keeping with the nature of the artist's paper, with one or two tiny, very minor slight creases also appearing, again, most probably in keeping with the nature of the paper used. There is very minor staining to the extreme edges, with a further minor stain in the upper left quadrant and another in the lower left corner. Elsewhere there are some tiny flecks of possible studio detritus just below the figure's left knee, but this excepting the work appears in very good overall condition, with strong, fresh colours throughout. Housed behind Perspex in a white wooden frame, float-mounted against a white backing support. Unexamined out of frame.
