Condition
The sheet is not laid down, but is adhered to a support mount via two strips at the top edge of either side. There is a tiny scuff to the bottom right corner, not visible in the present mount.
There are noticeable creases and old handling marks to the sheet, including a c.4.5cm. crease which breaks through the paper to the centre of the bottom edge and just to the centre of the lower edge, with some further, similar creases appearing to the composition, including running vertically down the right hand side of the sitter's forehead and elsewhere to the sheet. There is a varnish-like surface finish to the sheet, with surface dirt and signs of staining throughout.
Housed behind glass in a thick light wooden frame, set within a cream card mount.
