Condition
The work is in good condition overall, as is the canvas, which is clear and sound. There is light wear and handling around the edges of the painting, but the paint layers and impastos are healthy and stable. Upon close observation, faint networks of craquelures are evident on the lower left and bottom margins and on the neck area of the green scarecrow (darker paints). Examination under ultraviolet light shows minor spots of touch-ups predominantly on the upper left corner, the knee area of the red scarecrow and the left arm of the green scarecrow. Framed.
