Condition

Very good condition overall with some surface dirt and minor surface abraison to her proper right shoulder, and to her head. Some minor oxydation in the crevices of the giltbronze base. Terracotta finely modelled.

Catalogue Note

Ce buste peut être rapproché de celui d'une Jeune Fille à la couronne de roses du même artiste et dépendant de la collection de Madame Ruff-Toporkoff (Joseph-Charles Marin Sculpteur, op. cit., p.24). Nous y retrouvons certaines caractéristiques propres à Marin telles que l'abondante chevelure ondulante, les yeux mi-clos, une petite bouche aux commissures marquées et un visage tout en rondeur.
