Condition

The illustration is accurate. Good overall condition despite the usual minor scratches and marks due to age and handling. The patina is later with some wear on the exposed areas. Very nice upholstery using old fabrics which is in very good condition. Very nice and deep carving. Ready to use.

Probablement destiné à une alcôve et conçu pour épouser les moulures d'une boiserie, ce canapé est à rapprocher de l'oeuvre de Jean-Baptiste Tilliard qui produisit un certain nombre de lits ou canapés dits "à la Turque" en raison de leurs montants enroulés en crosse.
