Condition
The Chinese porcelain vase, with unusual red background, is in good condition, except two hairline cracks inside the lid and two tiny chips just below the gilt-bronze neck.
Lavish gilt-bronze mounts are finely chased, but with a little loose; one foliage is detached from the base and needs to be refastened. The plaque at the bottom of the lid has been added later.
The beautiful mercury gilding is very tarnished and would benefit from a slight cleaning.
Very attractive object in good overall condition.
