the polished gold case designed as a shell motif, measuring approximately 2¾ by 3 in., the interior fitted with a mirror and powder compartment, gross weight approximately 103 dwts, signed Verdura; circa 1940. With a signed and fitted red leather case.

Condition

In fair condition. Much soft abrasion to the gold surface at exterior edges, small dent to the back left bottom corner of the compact. Interior mirror displays one crack at upper left corner with some minor discoloration consistent with age. Signed Verdura in the upper left corner, stamped 14K. Powder and puff included. Leather slip case signed Verdura with much discoloration to the edges.
