  • marked on flange with Paris-style harrow and shell marks.
  • Burlwood, tortoiseshell, gold
  • length 3 1/2 in.
  • 9 cm
with burlwood panels “a revenants”, in which the figuring of the burlwood suggests ghosts, tortoiseshell stringing and lining, the inside cover set with a fine miniature of Danaë and the Shower of Gold.

Berry-Hill Collection, where the miniature is attributed to Jacques Charlier.
