  • gold, enamel, garnet
the five buttons designed as blackamoors, each centered by topazes, applied with black and white enamel, gross weight approximately 12 dwts, with indistinct maker's mark.

Condition

In good condition, with evidence of minor enamel loss and scratching to some of the blackamoors, not evident upon wear. The topazes are a medium-deep reddish orange and lightly to moderately included. All buttons test as 14K, and the topazes weigh approximately 1.60 carats. Diameter of buttons approximately 7/8 inch each.
