Description

of openwork design, set with 13 oval-shaped citrines weighing approximately 100.00 carats, with baguette and square-cut citrine accents, further set with round diamonds weighing approximately .45 carat, gross weight approximately 34 dwts, length 6½ in., signed Cartier, London, numbered 8492; circa 1940. With fitted box.

Condition

In good condition. Some wear evident to the citrine, abrading to the facet junctions as well as some very minor loss. Citrines are of a slightly brownish orange hue, and are eye clean. Diamonds are of decorative quality. Unusual clasp, operated by turning the largest citrine clockwise to show the clasp hook and then turning back to lock. Length approximately 6 1/2 inches, width approximately 1 inch. Signed on clasp bottom, with serial number and scratch mark 11VP.
