single leaf, 141mm. by 105mm., with a three-quarter page miniature of St. Anne and the Virgin Mary by the Master of Harvard Hannibal (for the Suffrage of St. Anne foliated as fol.60), with St. Anne, the Virgin Mary’s mother, firmly holding her young daughter’s hand, both holding precious books under their arms, in a tiled room against a chequered ground, above 6 lines of text in a gothic bookhand, with a 3-line initial in blue on a gold ground filled with foliage decoration in red and blue, text and miniature surrounded by a three-quarter frame and rinceau borders with gold ivy leaves, the verso with 21 lines of text, written space 107mm. by 70mm., rubrics in red, 2- and 3-line initials in gold on red and blue grounds, margins cropped with losses to borders, small pigment losses to miniature, in good condition, gilt frame
