Sapphire ring, Fontana

Claw-set with a step-cut sapphire weighing 31.52 carats, size 54, signed Fontana, French assay mark. 

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 78987 and Gübelin report no. 15030111, each stating that the step-cut sapphire weighing 31.52 carats, is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating. Signed Fontana. Stamped Pt 900 and with French assay mark for platinum. According to the SSEF report the sapphire measures 18.94 x 13.24 x 10.55mm, and according to the Gübelin report the sapphire measures 18.92 x 13.24 x 10.55mm; blue of medium strong saturation, typical inclusions, nicks, chips and abrasions, and a few scratches on the table; for further details on the sapphire, please refer to the gemmological reports. Signs of normal wear to the metal. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 16 grams.
