- Sapphire, diamonds, platinum
Claw-set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 19.39 carats, between baguette diamond shoulders, size 54, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay mark.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 79272, stating that the sapphire weighing 19.39 carats and measuring 16.65 x 12.20 x 9.20mm, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating; together with Gübelin report no. 8811026, dated 10 November 1988, stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin.
Signed Cartier Paris, numbered 02864. French assay mark for platinum. Sapphire blue of medium strong saturation, clean to the naked eye, inclusions visible under 10x magnification, a few nicks, the most noticeable on the edge of table facet, and minor scratches; for further details on the sapphire, please refer to the gemmological reports. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.20 - 1.50 carats. Signs of normal wear to the metal. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 9 grams.
