Of flexible design, the front set with a rectangular cabochon emerald weighing 49.71 carats, flanked by pear-shaped cabochon rubies, calibré-cut onyx and pavé-set brilliant-cut diamonds, on a six row collar of cultured pearls, signed Marina B, numbered, maker's mark for Marina B, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72995, stating that the emerald weighing 49.71 carats, measuring 22.93 x 20.73 x 13.67mm, is of Colombian origin, with a moderate amount of oil in fissures. Signed Marina B, numbered A61, maker's mark for Marina B. Inscribed OR 750 and France. French maker's mark and French assay marks for gold. Emerald of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching visible under magnification, one chip to pavilion facet; for further details on the emerald, please refer to the SSEF report. Rubies well matched in colour, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching. Pearls of white body colour, some with rosé overtones, a few growth marks and good luster, measuring from approximately 4.00 to 5.00mm. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with use. Length adjustable, inner circumference approximately 290mm, from end-to-end, when unstretched. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 145 grams.
